Smaller training sessions, repeated many times a day will produce the same result. Spending more time for training your pet will produce the result worthy of your effort.Dogs cannot learn everything in a day or two. They are slow learners.

As the dog grows there is a decline its learning ability and capacity. So allow your pet more time to learn in its own way without thrusting things on it. It is rather difficult for a dog to adopt itself to new habits and environments.

Praise the dog for its obedience and correct action. Do not give excess food or treats to the dog as it may gain weight and fall sick due to lack of resistance in its old age.

Don’t be angry or punish the dog physically for its mistakes. The result will be confusion and a long period of training. Be firm but friendly in commanding your pet. Modulate your voice to point out its mistakes. Repeated communication with your pet makes it behave according to your expectations.

After all, it is your own responsibility to train your dog successfully. This you can achieve with total patience, dedication and tolerance. Successful training of your dog will leave you bag full of fond memories to cherish through your life.
